So the stats say something like 30% of the US population have their passport. Less than that actually use it. Staggering statistics. As you can imagine, it bothers me at the core. So, I'm super psyched about this innovative Passport Day that the government has come up with. For those of you out there without a passport, or with an expired one, the time is NOW! Spread the word.

On Saturday, March 10 only, apply for your U.S. passport at a Regional Passport Agency without an appointment. You will be able to apply for standard processing (4-6 weeks) or pay an additional $60 for expedited processing (2-3 weeks, door-to-door). Passport Day in the USA events are being held at Regional Passport Agencies and many Passport Acceptance Facilities across the country in communities like yours. This is the honest truth...I wasn't attached to Whiteny's passing. I wasn't sure if it was the fact that I felt deep down that the drug abuse at some time mixed with an aging body was going to catch up to her, or what...but when news hit, I was in Atlanta. A text went to my phone, and it was verified for me through Twitter (the world we live in). Odd and unsettling, yes. Unfortunate, absolutely. My thoughts went directly to Bobbi Christina and Bobby Brown. Their whereabouts, and reactions. With the Grammy's, NAACP Awards, and now an impending funeral, I knew it was going to be a week of her, as it should be.

Now, it's here. Just across the water, in Newark, New Jersey. I'm watching the funeral on my TV screen, and I was unprepared for this. My reaction. I have cried through about 70% of the service so far. I didn't even cry like this watching Michael's funeral. It's not just her impact hitting, but that of the people chosen to speak and sing. As I watch Kevin Costner, BeBe and CeCe Winans, Tyler Perry, Clive Davis, Alicia Keys, Rev. Kim Burell, and Stevie Wonder....my lawd Stevie Wonder, I can't NOT be touched. It's real now for me.

It is not a media fest, it has been a genuine afternon of personal anecdotes, and a look into the life of Whitney Elizabeth Houston. We get a chance to peek into her life as a person, a human, a friend, a mother,  not just a performer. As it's been said, this family has given us the privledge of sharing her with the world. For that, I thank them. My condolences to the family. Her spirit and voice lives on forever.

Our goal then was $5,000 in 45 days. We hit $6,620. 

Now, with the Tribe surrounding me, it's time to go for the gusto! On September 29, 2012 the Tribe is having their 1 Year Anniversary, and it's going to be the Ultimate International Tribe Meet Up. What better way to bring that in then to have it shot and turned ino an episode for the crew?! It's going to be amazing!

So, the Tribe and I are on the road to raising $10,000 in 45 (now 43 days). As I type this we just got our 15th pledge and have IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS went over 10% funded at $1030.

When I tell you this movement is something that people believe in, believe me!!!

Even if you pledge just $1 it all helps us reach our goal. The fundraising ends on March 31, 2012 at 11:59pm. We have some cool rewards for people who pledge into the filming of the project. Remember, Kicktarter is all or nothing. If you don't make your goal (you can go over) by your deadline, you get nothing and no funds are taken from your pledgers. Thems the rules! something about capturing a simple moment of pause, that slows everything down...

Some of you have found this photo for purchase in the 'photos.' tab, but I wanted to give it some back story. 

I took this shot, on my last day in Panama, while sitting next to someone I'm headed to spend some time with this weekend.

Someone, who took my trip from a point of observation, to a point of personal interaction. Someone who swooped into my life from off his vine, enveloped my mind, and rearranged my heart.

When I told him I was too busy to be exclusive, he questioned it. When I said I was merely in Panama to watch everyone else have a good time, he made sure I allowed myself to as well.

Every night, when we talk, he slightly opens another part of me that was once hiding behind the work, the passion, and the myth of 'me'.

Every night...whether he knows it or not, I thank him for it.

This is one of the realest things I've read in awhile. With the turns and shapes that my life is taking, I have to say I take to these words more now than ever before.

 PopTarts: People that tend to Pop up in your life when they need you, or see you succeeding, yet weren't there when you had questions or needed help/support on the come up.

This is the message I lend to you.

The saga continues...(still weird watching these. Looking at it as practive for the bigger picture.)

Lately, I've been feeling as though I have to keep many parts of my life under wraps. Waiting for official official announcements in both the professional and personal part of my life (no, I'm not pregnant).

Truth be told, I hate this sh%t. I'm the type that when I'm excited, invigorated, energized, in love with what I'm doing... and the who, what, where, why, and how that's involved with it, I want to sprint to the nearest hilltop and scream it to the world. SO much I want to share. Waiting for the proper time.

Until then I remain muzzled...

What I wil say is that yesterday was one of the best days of my life...and...
