It started at the NY Times Travel expo. I walked in with a plan of attack. I knew the countries, their placements, and what time Tribe members were to arrive. Split the High Council up, divide and conquor this mammoth and the get the hell out. But, that's not how it went down.

First off, way more members showed up than I had ever anticipated. It was a first time meeting quite a few for me, which is always one of my favorite parts of running the Tribe. I believe I was chopping it up at the Japan station, when I was encircled by a number of members who'd just found their own private Utopia, the Hedonism booth. The stage had already been set. They'd pitched them on the Tribe, and understandably so, any vendor (sex related or not) who hears that there may be the potential for one organizer to bring upwards of 20 people into their establishment, makes people perk up. No pun intended.

I've been conflicted with Hedonism, both on a personal and professional level, with the group. In essence, I have no problem with nudity, even publicly, if that's your thing. Hell, I feel this is one of the main downfalls of having roomates...I digress.

I get it. The voyeur in me is totally with it. But the business woman, and more importantly, brand builder is like damn....something is not sitting 100% right. I listen to the Tribe...a lot. I'm like a good boyfriend. He listens, even if you think he isn't, even when you yourself know you're a second away from uttering runon sentences. And that is something too, that I have to balance and check with my own vision of not where we are.......but where we're going.

My mind ventures off to the community outreach program that is presently in the forefront of the movement, along with different people and establishments that I intend (hell or high water) to be affiliated with. Timing, also plays into this. We're in our infancy. We're growing fast, but we're still young. We got some growing pains to get through first.

In essence......this goes against everything I believe in, as I'm definitely the 'throw caution to the wind' type of person. I jump first and think later. But... I'll be damned if off a decision I make, my 'baby' wakes up with a black eye. Have to nurture correctly.

I know its been on people's minds and it's come up a number of times with certain members. I get it, trust I do. So much so, I felt the need to address it here. I'd love to hear the stories that would come along with a trip like this. I mean, in reality though, the NomadnessX trips get kinda ... themselves.

In all seriousness, know, I listen. I don't ignore. I just try to find the best way to implement, or not.

I'd say until you get to that section of Jamaica, there are a number of ways you can ummm, nurture that need for Hedonism. Think Adam and Eve.

Love you Tenders and Jungle Brothers!

The last two days have been a whirlwind for my brain and body. Lots of early morning calls, leaps towards dreams, and reuniting with people I haven't spoken with in forever.

With that said there are some SERIOUS personal thank yous in order!

I start with my team, the High Coucil. You guys have my back, while helping to progress my front. It does not go unnoticed and I am so grateful for the help you all give to the movement. Macario, my random rants, brain fart text messages, and communications at inappropriate hours are just a peek into what I've put Jason through for about ten years now, welcome to the real madness.

Gideon... you have popped back up with the connections of a thousand Mayan warriors. So serious. Thank you for picking up the phone when I call, and putting an ear out when I need it.

Jared... I don't even know the last time we spoke honestly. It's been ages and I believe it was within the confines of a pizzeria around West 4th. Thank you so much for re-remembering me with your contributions over the last 48 hours. It was dope and as I said today, we don't know what will come from it.

Lauren...very Aries-like of you, you jumped on a crisis and helped to seriously divert it tonight. This is the second time you've helped in this arena and I'm thinking I need to start coming to you first with this. lol. Seriously, thank you.

Patrick...Let's make history!!!

While we're at it, I might as well get my future thank yous out too.

I'd like to that Pharell for that random phone call today telling me how much he adores the Tribe and series, and would like to be our first celebrity advocate and investor. How dope of you.

To Chef Roble, you rock and thanks for the favor.

First Lady Michelle Obama, thank you for responding to the letter. I'd love to find a way to help us bridge travel and curriculum with the children. I'll be by the White House on Tuesday. Let's chop it up then.

Mark Zuckerberg... mind if I call you Zuck from here on out? Thanks. ;-)

8 hours into this business proposal...a ton of views and opinions on the future of my ventures.

Great phone calls, new connections, progress on all fronts and the only thing that I've been able to think about is how much everyone doesn't know. A lot has been accomplished, in a short period of time. But the game changers are all happening behind the scenes.

In an effort to get my bearings about myself, I went out for a 3 mile run. That's when I got lost in the concrete and my iPod. Halfway through my run, I was listening to a song that completely and fully described exactly how I've been feeling...Umi says.

I've got a monster on my hands. That's what the email from my boyfriend read at midnight last night. A simple sentence that encompassed so much. In Brazil, he was able to observe others talk about the movement as if it was their own...because it is. He knows more about the goings on than the average onlooker or member, and sometimes I wonder what he thinks about it all. In this one sentence, I know he saw something in Brazil. The connecting of dots. Buildingof relationships. The movement, in motion.

Not a small piece of change, but the actual face of it, done in such a manner that you are either going to 'fail' completely until you seemingly dust yourself off, and start again, or skyrocket into the stratosphere and live dreams beyond any you can imagine. Pressure....ya think. Risk...yea but we know I love that. There's something about being in this type of position that dwarfs you in size. Your ego is immediately checked and the magnitude of what is in front of you becomes clear.

I remember being in Japan for the first time, taking the Shinkansen (bullet train) from Tokyo to Niigata. There is a portion of the trip that is seemingly underground for awhile, and then all of a sudden the area opens up and you are surrounded by snowcapped mountains that take your breath away in size, and sheer surprise. That, is how I feel in regards to the opportunites presenting themselves, in size and in capacity for change in some previously built empires. It's not just about me finding my nook, it's about me elevating the entire mountain off the foundation that has already been laid.

My life is that Shinkansen. One of the fastest trains in the world, I feel as though the speed is quickening. There is nothing to fear, but fear itself.

One of the few memories I have of Jamaica is this sign for Evita's restaurant. I remember thinking it was so cool to have a place named 'after me' as a child. So on my trip a few weeks ago, what did I happen to run into.... just a little childhood narcissism

Two nights ago I was able to meet one of my top three female entrepreneurs. As I told her in person, during the Q&A section, she is very much my unofficial official mentor in the world of business. From the aim for reality tv as a stepping stone into the literary and business stratosphere, I've taken notes from Bethenny, from Day One. Living in New York City, you run into celebrities all the time. From a business perspective, I was geeked to meet her.

As I got her new book signed, I looked her in the eye and affirmed, "I'm putting it out in the Universe, to your face. We're going to be working together in the near future."

"Oh yeah?"

"Absolutely, and it's going to be in the realm of your new talk show. (insert Nomad•ness pitch)."

"Oh my God this can totally happen. You'd just have to fly to LA to do it. Talk to Jackie."

"LA is not a problem. Thank you so much!"

one lesson... own your future!

Tribe member, Angela, hit me up and asked:

Now that you are at the helm of such a large (and growing) group of travelers do you think you'll ever travel solo again? Since we're all over the world would you ever lie or evade members to do it like the old days?

This is probably one of the best questions I've ever gotten. What made it so good is that it is seriously, and truly, something I've thought about and an actual issue I have to think about.

My answer is as follows: no and yes.

Would I lie to members? No. Would I evade them? Yes.

I have to, for my own sanity. I have to find that mental and physical nook that allows me to experience life and travel, alone, on my own terms. And frankly, it's approaching soon. I've contemplated getting on a bus to nowhre one of these days and just figuring it out. I will need a break from it all, as a balance to make sure 'it all' keeps growing properly.

I still prefer to travel alone. There is a warrior that comes out when I know all I have, is me. Highly independant. I admit, sometimes to a fault. I need my space in every facet of relationships I have in my life, personal and professional. The Tribe is nothing different.

I only speak about this with particular people, and have never written about it publicly, until now. Not out of fear, but in not trying to get ahead of myself and have people take the comment as ego-driven over lesson-driven. Regardless, the truth is..... I'm becoming famous.

It's the nature of what I'm building and I'd be a fool not to know there's a million eyes on me right now. Even more of a Simpleton, I'd be, if I didn't admit to knowing that this is only going to get worse with time. I have no intention of stopping, slowing, pausing, halting. Therefore, I have to find the balance and the privacy, for the sake of myself and the sake of those closest to my life. As against my inherit nature as it is, I've welcomed boundaries. They must be respected.
