<div>The first week of the RV Tour was fueled on pure adrenaline. <span style="font-size: 130%;">Five schools in five days</span>, this episode shows the RV Crew starting the tour by revisiting<span style="font-size: 120%;"> Morgan State University,</span> and planting roots down on <span style="font-size: 120%;">Hampton University</span>'s campus, as well as getting some impromptu interviews at <span style="font-size: 110%;">Howard.</span>&nbsp;</div>
<div></div>
<div></div>
<div><span style="font-size: 150%;">Morgan State and Nomadness have a history together.</span> The ladies of the<span style="font-size: 120%;"> Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. </span>first opened their arms to us in September 2012. During that time, Evie was able to have her first run at the Travel/Diversity Workshop she'd created. With just under one hundred people in attendance, it proved to really be the kick off to bigger ideas, like bridging the RV Tour with the workshop. That first trip became an accidental catalyst for many moves Nomadness has made after it, including having the first Tour specialized for HBCUs.&nbsp;</div>
<div></div>
<div></div>
<div><span style="font-size: 130%;">The stop at Howard was very impromptu.</span> With time to kill before the DC Meet Up event, members Evie and Shavaun headed over to the Yard and got some one-to-one conversations going about what it's like attending an HBCU, and what makes Howard stand out from the rest.&nbsp;</div>
<div></div>
<div></div>
<div>Concluding the 'D' and 'M' part of the area, the RV Crew got their first glimpse inside the 'V'irginia leg of the tour. <span style="font-size: 140%;">First stop was on the Hampton University campus </span>where the RV was stationed literally right in front of the Student Activities building. This being the first school in which Evie had to give her actual presentation, the day was used to navigate students to the session that night.&nbsp;</div>

<p>The Nomadness College Takeover RV pulled into <span style="font-size: 140%;">Morgan State University, the first HBCU on the tour,&nbsp;</span> bright and early on Tuesday morning.&nbsp; The RV Crew was joined by a few Tribe members from Baltimore and DC to spread the Nomadness throughout Morgan's campus.&nbsp; Nomadness partnered with the <span style="font-size: 150%;">Alpha Gamma chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated</span> to spread the world and raffle off travel goodies.&nbsp; The energy on Morgan's campus was live and we had so much fun inspiring the student's through our mission.&nbsp; We hope to see all the new MSU Tribe member soon at our meet ups! Morgan was the perfect start to our 2013 College Takeover. Full steam ahead!</p>

<p>Hard to fathom that the Nomadness RV was officially underway and approaching the first stop. Along our trip, not only will we be presenting to schools about the importance of travel and diversity, but Nomadness Tribe members have organized meet ups for us along the route, from New York City to Los Angeles.</p>
<p>Our first stop was with member, Stacey G. &shy;&shy;&shy;who put together a feast as we hit Delaware. Many of the Philly members came down to welcome the RV Crew into the gates of the Oberod Estate. We were merely given an address.&nbsp; Unbeknownst to us, the area was noted specifically<span style="font-size: 150%;">&nbsp;for being active on the Underground Railroad. We were guided around the compound, during twilight hours, searching everything from hidden doors, to travel d&eacute;cor around this multi-level landmark.</span></p>
<p>Being an <span style="font-size: 130%;">urban travel group, primarily African-American, it was poignant to have the first stop on the entire tour be a place associated with many of our ancestors</span>, and their journeys North. It was an emotional start for the RV Crew, and exactly the type of inspiration needed to send us off along the rest of the country. &nbsp;A remembrance, a moment in time that allowed us to breathe, and <span style="font-size: 200%;">set the tone for how influential this tour actually will be, for students and ourselves.</span><span style="font-size: 140%;"> Perspective from the underground, as we travel, in a thirty foot long RV, &nbsp;over ground.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p><br />3 years since experiencing my first Holi, in India. To come back, 3 years later, with the Tribe is inexplicable, yet I will try. To see Bhati's family. The children have grown, the men have grayed, and the women have matured. The feeling, represented so accurately by the vibrant colors smeared across our face. I cried as we were on the bus driving around Jaipur drinking Kingfisher and screaming at the top of our lungs. Nomadness has officially reached a point I always wanted it to. Get people, even avid travelers, outside their comfort zone.</p>
<p><iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/uaevDbW-zNc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p>As we looked at the foreigners around the city, we were the only one of our kind. Welcomed,&nbsp;with open arms, even into the homes of Jaipur locals. A man&nbsp;begged for me to bring the&nbsp;Tribe to his home, as his daughter had just given birth to&nbsp;his new grandson, over the last&nbsp;few weeks. His family was honored to have us over just to hold and admire the baby.&nbsp; It's moments like this that let you know you are exactly where you are supposed to&nbsp;be. You have no choice but to&nbsp;be touched. &nbsp;I am again reconfirmed in my purpose with Nomadness.</p>
<p>Mission Accomplished. Fitting. My Tribe, My Legacy, Our movement. india Holi 2013 we were here.</p>
